The state of Delaware just scored some stimulus package funds on the order of $38mm in order to help the state get greener, and apparently between $13mm and $14mm will go to weatherizing eligible homes.
Not clear what counts for eligibility, often for other programs like this the funds are available for families with kids or seniors. But at this point we’ve heard that 2,000 homes will qualify. The work involved in weatherization projects typically goes to insulate and seal the properties.
In a state that can get plenty cold in the winter, this is good news for Delaware home owners and good news for weatherization contractors. Thank you stimulus package.
