Patti Blagojevich’s Got Reality Talent

The ongoing Blagojevich saga shifted to a reality show this month when Patti Blago joined NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” show. Her hubby was the original contestant, but the judge would not release him to go to Costa Rica, the location of the filming.

Until the show, she was only known as wife of a previous defrocked governor.

Mortgage Technology Magazine Includes Chicago Bancorp in Top 25 List

In attempts to compete with large lenders, many small- to mid-sized companies are incorporating innovative technology to remain relevant in the industry.  Based in Chicago with branches in Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, California and Arizona, Chicago Bancorp is one of those companies.

Chicago, IL Gets $700k Grant for Green Jobs

Awarded a $700,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation, the Greencorps Chicago program will put around 50 people to work for at least nine months.  The U.S. Conference of Mayors selected the city’s program for the grant..

Chicago, IL Crime Rates Drop

That’s right, folks, Chicago Police Department (CPD) reported lower crime statistics that can make all the city’s citizens proud.  Although 2008 ended with an upswing of violent crime, data from the first six months of this year indicate that homicides dropped by 13.1 percent.
