In Atlanta Magazine’s July 2009 “Top Doctors” issue, 72 of the 165 doctors identified for recognition are doctors from Emory Healthcare and faculty of Emory School of Medicine. That’s about 44% of all that were recognized … and they’re all right here in Atlanta.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) awarded the grant. The grant will enable Emory’s science department to further research cardiovascular disease and diabetes, diseases that are affecting aggressively more young people.
