Colorado Springs, CO Mortgage Company Faces State Lawsuit

The state’s attorney general office has filed suit against a mortgage company doing business in Colorado Springs, along with the company’s managing general partner and top loan originator.

Filed in Fremont County District Court, the civil lawsuit accuses Pueblo West owner April Bigler of violating 15 consumer protection laws. Prosecutors allege she misrepresented terms on loans she made. It is noted that many of the homes are now in foreclosure.

Allegations against Pueblo West’s managing general partner James W. Dale III state that he failed to enforce company policies. Accusations against Dale include violating nine consumer protection laws.

The company, Pueblo West, is accused of violating four consumer protection laws.

Fines and restitution are sought by the lawsuit.
