Chandler’s own Factory Expo Home Center (FEHC) proudly announced their 2009 success of a new manufactured homes model series. Introduced in October of 2008 by another Chandler business, Champion Homes, the Escape Series Cottage Homes are all available for under $100,000.
The intent was to create a concept for landowners desiring an aesthetic off the beaten path from traditional mobile homes. The Escape Series presents a more modern look that fits naturally into lake areas, mountains or rural environments, presenting a perception of a more conventional home as opposed to a mobile home.
One concern about introducing the new concept was the current state of the economy. FEHC’s General Manager Ray Anderson who has been in the industry for thirty years noted that the style was one that he’d never seen before. It was difficult to know how the new product would fair, but Anderson was pleasantly pleased with the reception, stating that the company had already sold several of them.
Modern entrance steps, rock facades, fireplaces, hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, spectacular built-in wood cabinetry and dressers, wood beams and ample closet space all make these homes stand out from the rest. Some exceptional standard extras are outdoor kitchens, built-in wine racks, covered porches and hardwood cabinetry.
Three different floor plans are available, along with three different exteriors in Lake Havasu (traditional), Alpine (rustic) or Sedona (Southwest) styles. Alpine and Sedona provide upgrades not found in the traditional model.
