The secret is finally out, and the whole nation now knows what metro residents and tourists to the area have known all along.  Minneapolis is one of the most FUN-omenal places to be on the planet!  Well, okay, in the nation.

Rated 2^nd in the most fun cities ranking by Ritz Cracker FUNomenal Places Study, Minneapolis was barely beat out by Seattle.  Fifty of the largest metro areas in the U.S. were studied.  Citizen participation in activities like neighborhood barbecues, block parties, outdoor activities, gyms, access to parks, dog parks, theater, entertainment venues and other recreational activities were factors in determining the top metro areas.

Minneapolis received high marks for its park systems and availability to indoor and outdoor recreational activity centers like ice skating rinks, baseball fields, tennis courts and golf courses.  In addition to these FUN-damentals, area residents spent higher-than-average for entertainment, sporting events, outdoor activities, going to the gym and participation in sports.
