Norfolk, VA Group Hosting Foreclosure Prevention Workshop Sept. 13

In case you didn’t know it, Norfolk has a foreclosure intervention network, and the group is offering a free workshop to the public. Information and resources will be presented that will assist those who are concerned about foreclosure on their homes.

Foreclosure Intervention Network is hosting Foreclosure Prevention Workshop scheduled for Saturday, September 13. Registration starts at 8:30A.M. and the workshop runs 9:00A.M. – 1:00P.M. The workshop will be held at the Workforce Development Center located at 201 E. Little Creek Road in Norfolk. Preregistration is highly recommended and you may do so by calling (757) 664-6770 or (757) 314-4202.

If you’re worried about foreclosure, this is a workshop you won’t want to miss. For you homeowners who are already delinquent or concerned that you could become delinquent, the class will provide direction and guidance as to what options are available and solutions that may work best for you. Some of the topics presented are as follows:

• Importance of housing counselors

• Connecting homeowners to resources

• Homeowner options available from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008

• How to effectively work with your lender

• Identifying and avoiding scams
