Venice, Florida….a Paradise on the Gulf!

Venice, Florida, the “Shark’s Tooth Capitol of the World!”

The largest number of prehistoric shark’s teeth in the world is found in this beautiful Floridian town; although, there are no sharks in the area.  A little slice of paradise located on the Gulf Coast, Venice is as exotic as it sounds.  It sits right on the shores of the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The city is located one hour south of Tampa/St. Petersburg, one hour north of Ft. Myers and two hours southwest of Disney World in Orlando.  It is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, a broad beach line, Mediterranean architecture and the city’s beautiful boulevard.  Giant live oaks line the boulevard, starting at the downtown area and extending all the way to the shores of the beckoning white sandy beaches.

If the aesthetic ambiance isn’t enough to draw you to Venice to establish your domicile, then all the other amenities in the city will.  Moderate year-round temperatures make busy the 10 miles of walking and biking trails that line either side of the Intracoastal Waterway.  More than 30 parks, some that are beachfront, with a library, art center, community center, dog park, interactive fountains, lighted ball fields, statues, flowing fountains, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball and handball courts and so much more enable activity day and night.

You can’t go wrong with the real estate, either.  You’ve got your pick of single-family homes, condos and townhomes that range from $39,000 to over $13 million.  A home for every family size and flavor is for sale all in this city, including waterfront estates.

No one ever asks, “Why did you move here?”  Instead, they ask, “How did you find this Paradise?!”  You will, too, when you move to Venice.

If you visit Venice, you’ll want to live in Venice … a paradise on the Gulf!

  • Venice, Florida is beautiful! The water is beautiful, and the town is great.

My family also likes to vacation in Perdido Key in the panhandle for a different side of the gulf. You can find helpful info on their site:
