A San Antonio man faces charges of making terrorist threats on craigslist because his home was set to be auctioned off. The man, 48-year-old Randall Hudson, was taken into custody after an anonymous complaint about a threatening blog posted on the site’s ‘rants and raves’ section.
Deputies said the posted threat stated: “So you think you’re going to sell my house this next Tuesday on the courthouse steps huh?” “Just because the JISD taxes got missed for a couple of years and I can’t satisfy them right now, you will take my paid for home? I DON’T THINK SO, NOT WHILE YOU OR I AM ALIVE!”, “I got nothing to live for anyway. So you sorry…keep…with me and watch what happens on next Tuesday. I WILL HAVE MY 15 SECONDS OF FAME…”
Upon receiving the complaint, authorities launched an investigation and were able to use the IP address to identify Hudson as the user of the computer used to make the threats. Once they knew the suspects name and address, they conducted a background check of the Bexar County foreclosure auctions records and were able to confirm that Hudson’s home was indeed scheduled for auction. The home, which is located on the 7500 block of Leafy Hollow, was scheduled to be sold in early April but it is unknown at this time if the house was actually auctioned off.
That confirmation led to a search warrant and an arrest warrant for terroristic threats. Officers found Hudson at home and took him into custody. Also found on the premises were five long rifles and three handguns.
Hudson is in the Bexar County Adult Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
