Roost Cares About Everyone Who Visits Our Nest

We’ve received great feedback from our visitors since our launch almost a month ago. I’ve personally been responding to your feedback since the launch and sharing them with my team. There was a healthy range of comments falling almost evenly into three categories: Bugs, New Feature Requests and Sales Inquiries. A few sample submissions:

Love this site (DFW market) Some suggestions, sort of urgent if you want to gain more traction 1. Allow user to browse thru his/her highlighted list (regardless of search criteria). Allow user to print this highlighted list with pictures and summary/details.

Hi Roost team, As the CEO of a web 2.0 company myself, I must say Roost is a great place to search for homes. I am in the process of relocating to the DFW area of Texas. One feature I would LOVE to see is an account section where I can save homes to my account and see a map view of all my saved homes. I would love to see a list of homes I am interested in. Even if the house is sold, it would be nice to still have access to seeing that house. Maybe categorize it as sold and allow me to filter my saved homes by status. Lastly, it would be great to have a guest account or public URL where I can show my Realtor the list of homes I am interested in. Anyways, keep up the good work! Jason

Great site! one observation, using IE7 searching for properties in Huntington beach, the “flipper” for the results page didn’t animate with orange bars while I was waiting. Looking forward to a launch in SF.

This is one of the best real estate search sites I have seen. Thank you for the simplicity. Love the list, map and photo gallery views. Would love more criteria in the search. Like lot size, etc.
Thanks! Bill

We’ve been aggressively fixing the bugs you’ve found such as typos, broken links and strange search behavior (can’t tell the difference between North Bend and South Bend, etc.) and most of them are already in production. As far as features, your ideas have been terrific and many have already been addressed by our new “full text” search. Other items such as new filters and adding additional data like sold homes and open houses are in the queue. We’re releasing upgrades to our site once or twice a month so stay tuned! I’ll report our changes here after each release.

We take customer service seriously and your experience helps us create a better product. We believe all your comments should be seen at every level of the company. Thus, I’m implementing a new system that will rotate all incoming feedback to every employee of Roost.com and we’ll measure response time and the quality of the feedback given. Our goal is to respond to all feedback within 24 hours. Additionally, we’ll be randomly (blindly) sending one feedback submission with our response to our board each day just to keep us on our toes!

Again, thank you for all your constructive criticism, creative ideas, and requests for partnerships. Keep them coming!
